Prerequisites
A background in basic engineering or professional experience and familiarity with the basics of object-oriented technology and networks is assumed.
Course Materials
Training manual with the course slides, manuscripts, and a set of examples and solutions for the problem solving sessions, is provided.

Instructors
Dr. Hessam S. Sarjoughian is Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Engineering in the School of Computing and Informatics at Arizona State University (ASU). Dr. Sarjoughian has published an edited textbook and a manuscript in modeling and simulation with research articles in areas including agent-based simulation, modeling methodologies, and simulation-based design. His industrial experience spans five years at IBM and AiReseach, Honeywell.
Dr. Bernard P. Zeigler, Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Arizona (UA) and Adjunct Professor in the School of Computing Informatics at Arizona State University (ASU), is internationally known for his seminal contributions in modeling and simulation theory. He has published several books including Theory of Modeling and Simulation and Dynamic Data Engineering for the Net-Centric Environment (forthcoming), and numerous research articles on the Discrete Event System Specification (DEVS) formalism. He is Fellow of the IEEE and the Society for Modeling and Simulation and International (SCS).
